The roles at Khai Nguyen and what the work involves
Khai Nguyen Dental Lab is a dental laboratory founded in 2017 in Ho Chi Minh City, making restorations for clinics in Vietnam and overseas. The list above shows which positions are open now. Our job posts, which are published in Vietnamese, describe the work in each group of roles:
- CAD/CAM technician: designing restorations in Exocad, assessing incoming data (models and intraoral scans), working with other departments on quality, and proposing improvements to the design process. The post asks for a dental prosthetics qualification, CAD/CAM design experience and fluency with design software such as Exocad and B4D. Technical English is an advantage, because the lab works for clients in Australia, the US and Europe.
- Ceramic department technician: layering, staining, adjusting contacts and polishing so that veneers, crowns, bridges and implant restorations match the dentist’s prescription.
- Other technical stations: our recruitment posts have also covered CAM, framework adjustment, removable work, model pouring and die cutting. The wax and framework room prepares the foundation of each restoration.
- Office coordinator: receiving orders, talking with dentists, scheduling and tracking production, and making sure cases leave on time. Experience in a dental lab or as a dental assistant or receptionist is preferred.
- Operations coordinator and process improvement specialist: working directly with the COO to standardise processes, write SOPs, checklists and forms, track improvement projects, support trials of new materials and equipment, and compile operating data. Experience with SOPs, QC or ISO is a plus.
- Technical support and overseas doctor liaison: translating prescriptions for the technical team, communicating in English with overseas dentists, following cases from start to finish and sending photos of finished work.
Working in a digital workflow
Cases reach the lab as intraoral scans (STL, PLY or DCM) or as physical impressions, which we pour and scan on a desktop scanner so they follow the same digital route. Each file is checked for margins, bite and preparation depth before production, designed in exocad, and produced on our CAD/CAM and 3D printing systems. Before shipping, every restoration is checked for occlusion, contacts, shade and surface finish and photographed for the record. Life on the team
Outside work, the team took a three-day company trip to Da Lat in July 2026, celebrated the lab’s eighth anniversary on 1 December 2025 with performances by staff, and receives small gifts before public holidays. The lab also puts effort into keeping work areas clean and tidy, including the stations where ceramics are ground and finished.
