A proprietary microcrystalline structure of Zirconia-reinforced Lithium Silicate (ZLS) makes Celtra Duo (ZLS) the only CEREC material that allows complete control over the workflow without compromising the quality of the final restoration.

Self-healing for added strength and durability

  • The high glass content of Celtra Duo (ZLS) not only gives this material excellent optical and mechanical properties, but also provides the added benefit of self-healing during firing.
  • During firing, once the glass transition temperature is reached, the glass-ceramic turns into a highly viscous “liquid”; however, it is not viscous enough to lose the shape of the restoration. Instead, the viscous glass fills in the defects caused by milling. After firing and this self-healing stage, the material hardens as it cools to room temperature and regains its original high strength.
