DMax Natura Zirconia

⚠ DMAX blanks have been discontinued. Khai Nguyen no longer fabricates new restorations in this material; the information below is kept for reference. For new cases that need high-strength zirconia, see DD Bio Zirconia or contact the lab.

DMax Natura is a zirconia range from DMAX (South Korea), covering white, pre-shaded and multilayer blanks with flexural strength from 900 to 1,300 MPa depending on the blank. The high-strength white blanks are used for crowns and long-span bridges (Alpha HT) or for frameworks (Natura Eco, Opaque Natura); the pre-shaded and multilayer blanks (Natura M, Multi M, Multilayer Smart) for full-contour crowns that need esthetics.

Highlights

  • High hardness: Zirconia is far harder than many other materials, extending the lifespan of dental restorations.
  • Natural translucency: DMax Natura Zirconia blanks closely reproduce the shade and translucency of natural teeth, delivering highly esthetic results.
  • A blank for each indication: white, pre-shaded and multilayer blanks, chosen by tooth position, bridge span and stump shade.

More information

Exclusive white multilayer blanks. Time-saving: fabricate 16 shades per blank. The different absorption of each layer produces the most natural shade transition. The blank has five zones from incisal to body: enamel, three transition zones and dentin; in a 14 mm blank they measure 2.1 / 1.4 / 3.5 / 2.1 / 4.9 mm. After dipping, dry at 200 °C for 15 minutes, then sinter at 1,530 °C with a 2-hour hold (DMAX catalogue p.05).
