Where the session took place
This workshop was one of two talks Khai Nguyen held at its own booth, I9-10, during the HSDI 2024 congress, the lab’s first time at the event.
The full title given in the programme post on our Facebook page was “Solutions for full-arch implants: from provisional to final restoration in two appointments”. The second talk, on digital impressions and restorative material selection, was given by Dr Tran Thi Ngoc Trang on the afternoon of 15 December 2024 (see that workshop page).
Why the topic matters to restorative dentists
Bringing a full-arch implant case down to two appointments means that the information a conventional sequence re-checks over several try-ins has to be captured completely and correctly at the start: implant positions, the jaw relationship, the vertical dimension, and the tooth form the patient has already accepted in the provisional.
For the laboratory, the provisional then becomes the blueprint for the final restoration, so any error in the impression or bite record goes straight into the definitive work. Our technical articles cover each link in that chain:
- Intraoral photogrammetry (IPG) for full-arch implants: three ways to record a full-arch implant case, the limits of each, and what IPG does not replace.
- Bar-supported full-arch restorations: full contour or split iBar, and why the bar must fit passively.
- All-on-4 in FP1: why the tissue surface is polished so carefully.
- All-on-6 FP1 case study on AnyRidge implants: a patient living abroad who wore a provisional after placement and returned to Vietnam for the final restoration.
After the talk
In our HSDI 2024 recap post of 16 December 2024, we thanked Dr Truong Chi Bao and Dr Tran Thi Ngoc Trang for the two booth talks and noted the many questions dentists brought to the lab afterwards.
Full-arch implant work has stayed a recurring subject in the lab’s professional activities since, including a session on IPG with the clinicians of Vien Dong Dental in 2025 (see training and professional exchange 2025–2026) and the seminar of 7 March 2026 on digital restorative strategy from veneers to full-arch implants.
How Khai Nguyen supports full-arch implant cases
We accept intraoral scan files or conventional impressions and models. All-on-X design is completed within 24 hours through our CAD design service, and we produce fixed options such as full zirconia bonded on a bar or full zirconia bonded on Ti-bases. Production for zirconia on implants takes 3 to 4.5 working days depending on the number of units, and international cases ship by DHL Express, typically 2–4 days in transit. See the ordering process, or message us on WhatsApp at +84 902 945 585 to discuss a case before sending it.
Written for dentists and technicians. Khai Nguyen Dental Lab manufactures to clinical prescription only and does not sell directly to patients.
